Adulthood, and Childhood.

First of all I just want to complain about how this blogging thing doesn’t have a spell checker on it so I needed to type this whole thing in a word document! Also I needed to keep up every page on the blog so I can see the six intertwined questions to make sure I answerer them all so my computer is running three words behind me at all times!
Anyway back to the point. It is obvious Holden is in-between being a child and being an adult by almost everything he does. He tries doing things that adults would do, like dancing with those girls in that club, but then he does them very childishly, like when he told them he saw a movie star. Holden seems to be either right in the middle of becoming an adult or closer to being an adult than a child, like I feel most people in our class are. He is going through similar problems in his life that many of us are now. For instance he isn’t really sure what is important in his life. Some people think it is important to get good grades but he has decided that that isn’t an important part of his life. He is also obviously having difficulty understanding the opposite gender which happens to everyone in most stages of their lives, but more so in adolescence. For instance he seems to like Jane and was upset when he thought Stradlater had “given her the time”, but he hasn’t admitted to being in love with her.
