Tale of a dead man

He stood paralyzed with confusion as the man who had just turned the corner in front of him lifted a gun from his side and fired a pullet point blank into his head.
He began to remember. It was as if he was reliving his life as it slowly drifted in front of his eyes. He saw his childhood, adolescence, and adulthood pass him by. It seemed to take years.
He then saw the man turn the corner and fire. He began to remember. . .

The idea (if you didn't already see it) is that when your life flashes before your eyes before you die what would stop it from doing it again after you reach the end? It would cause an infinite loop resulting in the absence of an afterlife.
